Dhul-Kifl
A
(Ezekiel) was a
Rasul (Messenger)
of Allah (God).
Dhul-Kifl
literally
means "possessor of, or giving a double requital or portion".
Much details about Dhul-Kifl
A
(Ezekiel) are not
available.
Allah
(God) has
mentioned him along with other Rusul
(Messengers).
And (remember) Isma'il (Ishmael), and Idris (Enoch) and
Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all were from among As-Sabirin (the
patient ones, etc.)
And We admitted them to Our Mercy. Verily, they were of the
righteous.
Surah (Chapter)
Al-Anbiyaa (The prophets)
Qur-an 21:85-86
Following the story of Ayyub
A
(Job), Allah (God) mentioned Dhul-Kifl
A
(Ezekiel) once again along with other important Rusul
(Messengers).
And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac),
and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping
Us) and (also) of religious understanding.
Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing,
i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they
used to make the people remember it, and also they used to
invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the
Hereafter].
And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best!
And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), AlYasa'a (Elisha), and
Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best.
