Islam in China
Islam in China dates back to the days of the Khilafah (Caliphate) of 'Uthman ibn 'Affan R, the third Caliph of Islam.
After triumphing over the Byzantine, Romans and the Persians, 'Uthman ibn 'Affan R sent a deputation to China in 29 AH (650 CE, eighteen years after the death of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S).
The Ancient Record of the Tang Dynasty describes a landmark visit to China by Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas R, one of the Sahabah (Companions) and maternal uncle of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S in 650 C.E.
This event is considered to be the birth of Islam in China.
